Description

Overview: The Westminster Bookstore is looking to hire a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented person who is passionate about the role of books in the life and health of the church and family. The School Relationship Manager will report to the Associate Director of Customer Experience and will be the end-to-end point of contact with schools for Storyglory Kids, a book fair initiative in partnership with the Westminster Bookstore. This role incorporates sales, support, and event execution skills while working with schools from initial contact through book fair wrap-up.


Duties and Responsibilities

1. Sales

  • Respond to inbound book fair inquiries from prospective partner schools
  • Develop relationships with existing partner schools
  • Organize and manage all school data and projects using CRM/project management software
  • Prepare, send, and process contracts with schools

2. Execution

  • Develop and share project plans with schools and serve as primary contact to ensure a successful and smooth book fair
  • Work closely with Storyglory Kids and Westminster Bookstore team to keep book fair preparation and execution on track
  • Hold training calls with schools via Zoom
  • Be available to troubleshoot technology and/or answer questions from schools via text or call
  • Analyze and share book fair data with schools

3. Procurement

  • Work with schools to determine curriculum procurement orders
  • Communicate with schools about pricing, contracts, payment, and order updates
  • Ensure arrival of books and school satisfaction

4. Other

  • Support eNews, website projects, new school service offerings, and other miscellaneous projects
  • Attend bookstore team meetings virtually
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and related work experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop productive relationships with team members
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of service to others
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with the mission of Westminster Bookstore and Storyglory Kids preferred

Here are a few additional details:

  • This is a part-time position, 20 hrs/wk
  • Eager to learn and grow. There’s always something new to learn and having a desire to learn new things is an important part of thriving in this role.
  • Tech-savvy. We rely heavily on software to get our work done. You don’t need to know how to code, but you need to know your way around a computer and be able to quickly learn new systems. A few of the tools we use are AirTable, Shopify, and Slack.
  • This is a remote position. Occasional on-site visits may be requested.
  • Must have a fast, reliable computer and internet that can be used for work. Mac preferred.
