2U Program Staff
Description

The 2U Program Staff hold the primary responsibility for the implementation and execution of Camp For All 2U activities and programs at Texas Children’s Hospital locations.  They are expected to help create and maintain a professional environment where the Camp For All mission is carried out through high quality programs.  


List of Essential Duties 

  • Participates in staff orientation and training for Camp For All 2u programs, June 3-7 on location at the Camp For All Burton location.  
  • Exhibits the ability to manage assigned program activities, including planning and adapting the activity to the camper’s special needs 
  • Works with Program Supervisors to maintain and upkeep program activity areas.  
  • Demonstrates the desire to learn, understand and adapt to the needs of the individual camper 
  • Follows all safety standards set by Camp For All and the Program Manager in accordance with Texas Department of Health and American Camping Association 
  • Immediately corrects any safety infractions and/or reports such to supervisor 
  • Actively contribute to the success of the Camp For All team by completing assigned tasks and meeting individual and group goals 
  • Manages free time in a responsible manner so as to be fully prepared for each day program. 
  • Follows a variety of instructions, procedure manuals and safety rules 
  • Maintains flexible work schedule with the ability to work extended hours as needed  

Reports To

Program U2 Staff reports directly to the Program Supervisors.


Compensation 

2U Program Staff will receive housing and most meals. The weekly rate starts at $350 per week depending on experience.  Paid training included.   


Requirements
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the first day of training (June 3, 2024) 
  • Must be able to physically assist campers with mobility impairment;  
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with campers, volunteers, hospital staff, and Camp For All staff throughout the activity areas 
  • Must be able to assist campers and hospital staff in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury)  
  • Must possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers, hospital staff, and volunteers within the activity area 
  • Must commit to staying on site with the program team each week, from Sunday afternoon through the end of each session Friday afternoon.   Lodging will be in close proximity to each program site.  

 

Program & Training Locations and Dates 

  • June 3-7: Staff Training at Camp For All Burton location 
  • June 16-21: Week 1 program at Texas Childrens Hospital – West Campus 
  • June 23-28: Week 2 program at Texas Childrens Hospital – Medical Campus 
  • July 7-13: Week 3 program at Texas Childrens Hospital – Woodlands Campus
