The successful candidate will be responsible for creating clear, concise and comprehensive product specifications that accurately reflect the design intent and product features, functionality and performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Coordinate procurement, Contracting Requirements, and General Requirements for a project with Project Managers
  • Work with Architects/Designers/Technicians to identify and assemble required project Specification Sections for Division 00-14. Identify where additional product info is necessary
  • Ability to review and understand architectural construction documents for identification of products and assemblies
  • Write clear, concise and comprehensive product specifications that accurately reflect the products features, functionality and performance
  • Collaborate with engineering team to update Table of Contents for all specification divisions. Combine final specifications manual after project completion
  • Ensure product specifications are aligned with industry standards, code requirements and generally accepted construction standards
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members to ensure product requirements are understood and meet the needs of the design intent
  • Printing and assembling of all specifications sections
  • Review and maintain Master Specifications
  • Stay relevant with current building codes and product standards
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve product specifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in the Architectural/Engineering industry
  • Knowledge of architectural and structural products, assemblies and code requirements
  • Experience in writing specifications using Speclink-E is preferred but not required
  • Skilled using Microsoft Office, Speclink-E, Bluebeam
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to research products, manufacturers, codes & standards, and rules & regulations as needed to write specifications
