We have an opening for a Technician. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hanging doors, completing carpentry work, paying attention to detail, and producing top-quality workmanship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to use variety of construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily task like:
- Door, frame, and hardware installation
- Basic knowledge of installation of electrified hardware
- Understanding of concealed vertical rod installation
- Ability to lift 100lbs
- Forming concrete
- General framing, blocking, and hanging
- Millwork and cabinet installation
- Division 10/Miscellaneous accessories installation
- Door, frame, and hardware installation
- Utilize company provided technology for writing work orders, filing expense reports, and logging crew time.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and general contractors to ensure timely project completion.
- Clean and prepare jobsites.
- Enforce all required Hourigan on-site Safety procedures.
- Participate in the Hourigan Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending, and applying safety and health training, and eliminating hazards within your capability and control and the help of safety staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Basic understanding of commercial construction means and methods and industry practices.
- Industry Experience: 1-3+ years preferred.
- Must be able to transport your own personal/company provided tools
- Must be able to provide, operate, and maintain construction tools in a safe and proper manner.
- Willing to learn how to read construction drawings and gain experience with construction management software, specifically Procore and Bluebeam
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
