PM Line Cook - Bear Tooth Grill

The primary responsibility of a Grill Line Cook is to create high-quality food items assigned to your station for

guests. Grill Line Cooks must adhere to the Bear Tooth Grill recipes, making adjustments according to customer

modifications. Grill Line Cooks work as a team with the Front of House and Back of House employees to ensure

guests’ positive dining experience. Grill Line Cooks must maintain a sanitary work environment and adhere to

company hygiene and dress code policies to guarantee food safety.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
  2. Maintain knowledge of menu items and ingredients
  3. Read all printed tickets carefully with attention to detail
  4. Accurately produce orders following recipe guidelines and ticket specifications
  5. Monitor the temperature of equipment and food cook times while taking personal pride in every item delivered for service
  6. Operate oven, fryer, grill, and other kitchen equipment safely
  7. Effectively coordinate the timing of the various products and courses for every order regardless of station
  8. Handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly
  9. Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a manager
  10. Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
  11. Complete all opening, closing, and side duties
  12. Assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed
  13. Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect

Must have evening availability. 

Must be 16 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card (or willing to obtain).

Experience preferred; however, this is a teaching kitchen, and we are willing to take on the right candidate with a positive attitude in place of experience. Ample growth opportunities for the right candidate.

  1. Stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
  2. Work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
  3. Lift and Carry 30+ lbs
  4. Work in hot and humid environments
  5. Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
  6. Self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  7. Multitask and retain multiple called ticket items
  8. Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology and knife skills
