Short’s Travel Management, a leading provider of NCAA Athletic travel for collegiate athletics has a immediate opening for a seasonal Operations Coordinator with it’s Charter Air division. This position is seasonal, hourly and remote.


What you can expect in this role:

In this seasonal role for STM Charters, you will be primarily responsible for coordinating operations and customer service functions that support ongoing business sales and client renewals within an assigned book of business. This position will work with vendors on brokered as well as ACMI services, ultimately overseeing the success of STM Charters Operations by ensuring the tasks done by Account Executives and Sourcing Coordinators are complete and accurate. This position may work remotely but may also require occasional travel. 


This is a seasonal position needed from 8/12/24 - 3/12/25. Not benefit eligible.


  

Essential Functions:

  • Perform core functions and competencies as they relate to customer service, as measured by customer satisfaction and lack of complaints/errors.
  • Collaborate with Charters Team on a 24-Hour service plan to assist in monitoring the charter flight needs of STM clients.
  • Act as the liaison between the client and the carrier. Keeps all parties fully informed of travel requirements as measured by accuracy of details and responsibilities between parties.
  • Provide accurate and timely communication regarding details of flights, ground handling, catering, etc. 
  • Accountable for the accuracy of operational work produced by Account Executives and Bridge Coordinators.
  • Responsible for confirming and recording Ground Handling and Passenger Screening for ACMI Flights
  • Possess a strong work ethic with a willingness to take ownership and responsibility of multiple tasks, as required. 
  • Exhibit commitment to learn the air transportation industry (including relationship building with key carriers) and STM Charter’s processes in securing air transportation for our clients. 
  • Represents STM Charters in a professional manner.
  • Assist with NCAA Championship Travel on an “as needed” basis.
  • Demonstrate a curious mind and willingness to learn new skills with a commitment to continuously enchanting the STM Charters Operations system.
  • We are a team at Short’s Travel Management and as such, you may be expected to assist in other departments or handle tasks outside of your typical position scope for the benefit of our clients or company. 
Requirements

  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with ability to focus on goals without constant direct leadership or oversight.
  • Previous aviation experience required. 


Technical Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new programs/processes that may be adopted moving into the future.
