Position Overview:
As an Exterior Facilities Technician, you will be a vital member of our facilities team, primarily focusing on maintaining the exterior aspects of our buildings. Your role will involve ensuring that the outdoor areas of our properties are clean, safe, and well-maintained to uphold our standards of excellence and provide a positive experience for residents, tenants, and visitors. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, primarily focusing on power washing, pothole repairs, leaf blowing, and painting parking lines across 4-5 stores weekly. This role will also be responsible for miscellaneous duties and maintenance tasks, ensuring the overall cleanliness and functionality of the designated areas.

Role Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Document.
- Must be able to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Must have dependable transportation. Must be able to travel daily between all Family Express locations or other non-Family Express locations when necessary.
- Ability to operate necessary tools and equipment for the assigned tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Position Responsibilities:

- Leaf Blowing
- Perform regular leaf blowing to maintain clean and safe parking areas.
- Ensure thorough removal of debris and leaves from designated spaces.
- Parking Lot Maintenance
- Paint and stripe parking lot lines to enhance organization and traffic flow.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address any parking lot maintenance issues.
- Power wash parking lots at store locations and office
- Identify and repair potholes in the parking lots of assigned stores.
- Utilize appropriate tools and materials to ensure long-lasting repairs.
- Perform regular leaf blowing to maintain clean and safe parking areas.
- Ensure thorough removal of debris and leaves from designated spaces
- Fuel Pump Operations:
- Conducting routine inspections of fuel pumps to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks, such as nozzle and hose inspections, filter replacements, and pump calibration.
- Bakery Maintenance
- Handle miscellaneous duties and maintenance tasks within the bakery area.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a clean and organized bakery environment.
- Support Tasks
- Run supplies to technicians as needed.
- Jump-start vehicles and handle basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Perform small paint jobs, including painting fuel lids.
- Ensure proper escalation and submission of work orders with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks beyond the scope of in-house capabilities

Physical demands and work environment:
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for prolong periods; work longer than eight (8) hour shifts, reach climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear; smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- Work Environment: Must have flexibility to work all shifts, all days of the week, when necessary. Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures for a minimum of 30-minute intervals. Exposure to dirt, dust, and cleaning solvents.
