Here is what you will get to do:

The Marketing intern will work with the Scottsdale Arts Marketing and Communications Department and report to the Director of Marketing. This internship will focus on a specific project that will focus on social media and social media strategy. The project will center on researching best practices, developing a social media consolidation plan and content calendar, and establishing new platforms and audiences.

This internship will: 

· Conduct research to establish baselines, including platforms, engagement metrics, content evaluation, etc.

· Develop a social media strategy that outlines audience opportunities, best practices by platform, and industry benchmarks. In addition, we will develop a competitive overview for best-in-class use cases. 

· Build a content calendar for each relevant platform

· Develop profiles for new and emerging platforms if determined valuable to the overall social strategy and new audience engagement goals. 

· Contribute to the creation of social media content using the in-house style and guidelines. This may include video work. 

Requirements

Here is what you will need to be successful:

1. Education: Must be a current college student or recent graduate within the last 12 months and over the age of 18. 

2. Experience: 6+ months experience in either marketing, public relations, social media, or arts administration at the collegiate or professional level or equivalent. 

3. Attributes:

· Strong verbal and written communication

· Effective organizational and research skills

· Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc. 

· Experience with design software such as Canva 

· Possessing practical experience in the concepts of marketing and engagement techniques would be helpful. 

4. Work Environment:. Frequent sitting with regular periods of extending standing and walking. Use of hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms. Ability to talk and hear, taste, smell. Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs. 

5. Other requirements:

· Must possess valid driver’s license and driving record, which is acceptable to the organization’s insurance carrier.
