About the Role / Summary: 

The Email Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the execution of email + SMS related initiatives at Schoolhouse. This role will drive and execute customer lifecycle strategies for new customer acquisition, retention, engagement, and lifetime value using a data-driven mindset with a deep understanding of our customer base. This position combines creative communication skills and technical savviness to support Schoolhouse email and SMS marketing programs and requires a passion to enhance the user experience and deliver on sales growth targets.


This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of being in our Portland office Tuesday thru Thursday.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute on email and SMS strategies and identify opportunities to expand lifecycle/retention efforts into additional channels.
  • Provide input on all things email and assist in driving cross-functional collaboration across marketing, technical, operations, and product teams.
  • Coordinate email assets: gather requirements, brief campaigns, coordinate timelines, and implement deadlines from planning and design through deployment.  
  • Utilizes our Email Service Provider (Sailthru) and our web platform (Shopify) to execute and manage the Schoolhouse email program including daily sends, ad hoc sends, promo series, trigger campaigns, Trade program sends, launches, etc.
  • Utilizes our SMS provider (Attentive) to execute and analyze ad hoc and triggered SMS campaigns.
  • Maintain and update relevant marketing calendars.
  • Provides recommendations for future campaigns and initiatives based on data driven analysis, AB testing, best practice and industry comps.
  • Assist with compiling weekly, monthly, and quarterly hindsight's for trend analysis.
  • Assist in managing a customer-communication roadmap to coordinate with cross-functional partners.

Additional Functions

  • Periodically reviews and optimizes digital web content as needed.
  • Participates in separate projects with email requirements as necessary.
  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in email marketing, or digital marketing.
  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail. 
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite products
  • Experience designing and implementing A/B and multivariate tests
  • Knowledge of Sailthru, Attentive, GA4, Shopify, Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Experience working within the home industry is a plus
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations
  • Must have a high-level customer centric focus.

Compensation

This is an exempt role.  The target pay range for this role is between $52,000 to $65,000.

This role is eligible for a bonus.
