As the Executive Sales Director, your focus will be accelerating LineVision's sales growth on the West Coast of the US. Working closely with a top-tier technical team, you will nurture existing customer relationships and seize new opportunities for LineVision's technology. Our solutions are designed to enhance transmission system capacity, resilience, and reliability. By leveraging our technology, electric utilities can meet carbon reduction goals, enable renewable energy distribution, and bolster the overall reliability of the transmission grid. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales. 


What will you do?

Core Responsibilities and Key Performance Objectives

  • Leverage your sales experience, existing relationships, and deep understanding of the energy sector to secure new business opportunities and cultivate strong relationships with our electric utilities.
  • Drive the deployment of LineVision’s innovative solutions, managing every stage from initial engagement to successful implementation, ensuring widespread adoption throughout the market.
  • Develop and implement specific plans to attract new business from top utility companies, leveraging your strategic insights and industry expertise.
  • Work with industry experts and influential leaders, presenting LineVision's innovative solutions alongside senior executives at important climate technology events and forums.
  • Travel to develop customer relationships and close deals (30% or more)
  • 3-Month Timeline:
    • Understand Sales Process and Energy Sector: Familiarize yourself with LineVision's sales process and gain a deep understanding of the energy sector, focusing on electric utilities.
    • Initial Engagements and Relationship Building: Engage with electric utility clients, establish rapport, and understand their needs. 
    • Begin Implementing Solutions: Start driving the deployment of LineVision's solutions with selected clients. Work closely with them to ensure successful implementation.
  • 6-Month Timeline:
    • New Business Development Plans: Develop and implement specific plans to attract new business from top utility companies, leveraging insights gained from initial engagements.
    • Engage with Industry Experts and Leaders: Collaborate with industry experts and influential leaders, positioning LineVision's solutions alongside senior executives at climate technology events and forums.
    • Continued Solution Deployment and Relationship Building: Continue driving the deployment of LineVision's solutions with existing clients, while also expanding relationships with new clients.
  • 1-Year Timeline:
    • Continuous Sales Growth and Market Penetration: Focus on continuous sales growth by expanding LineVision's presence within the electric utility market. Identify new opportunities and refine sales strategies.
    • Enhanced Industry Presence: Strengthen LineVision's presence in the industry by participating in key events and forums, showcasing innovative solutions and thought leadership.
    • Evaluation and Adjustment: Evaluate performance against key performance objectives, adjust strategies as needed, and plan for the upcoming year's objectives and initiatives.

  • Proven track record of successful enterprise-level sales within the energy sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in selling innovative solutions and penetrating a new market.
  • Proficient in cultivating strong client partnerships and collaborating with internal teams to identify and seize new business prospects.
  • Develop and communicate the value proposition of LineVision’s solutions to utility organizations.
