Summary

Augeo is a rapidly growing organization seeking to hire a Division Controller for our Workplace Engagement Division. This position is an integral part of the Accounting and Operations teams, playing a key role in accounting, financial reporting, analysis and forecasting for the division. This is a hands-on position and a great opportunity to contribute your process improvement and organizational skills. To be successful in this position, you need to be proactive in delivering timely and accurate financial information, have the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and have strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to executives and non-financial stakeholders. The Division Controller has one direct report, leads a team of four and reports to the SVP of Finance.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the division as a member of the Workplace Engagement Leadership Team.
  • Coordinate the development of the annual revenue and gross profit budget and similar interim forecasts as needed.
  • Participate in the diligence process relative to potential acquisitions that could fall under the division.
  • Manage the Workplace Engagement accounting team and their work product.
  • Partner with the Accounting Manager to prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements with variance commentary.
  • Measure and communicate profitability analysis by client and product line.
  • Prepare schedules for the annual external audit and tax return prep, including state tax apportionment.
  • Manage the banking relationship for the division.
  • Review monthly commission calculations.
  • Work with the Workplace Engagement Account Managers to review program margins monthly.
  • Develop mid-month and month-end forecasts with variance commentary.
  • Work with Operations and IT teams to reconcile deposit liability balances monthly.
  • Monitor company’s financial reports to determine ways to reduce costs and increase profits.
  • Document accounting processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a Company or Division Controller, preferably including experience utilizing an ERP system. D365 a plus.
  • Must be self-motivated and self-directed; willing to roll up the sleeve to complete all tasks and thinking outside the box on problem solving.
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, cross functional teams, staff, and clients
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
  • 10+ years in an accounting/finance role with at least 5 years in a senior role
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • CPA (active or inactive) preferred.
