Description

The Program Manager is responsible for the overall administrative and clinical operation of the program, including all activities relative to the day-to-day management of the home ( e.g., development, implementation, and review of Individual Service Plans (ISP), clinical programs, and other treatment plans); management of petty cash system and consumer funds; and ensuring compliance with DDS licensing standards, CARF standards, OSHA regulations, and Victory Human Services' Quality Assurance standards. Maintain daily contact with supervisor and staff (i.e., Residential Counselors, Overnight Counselors and relief staff). Make frequent contacts with consumers' families, DDS Service Coordinators, outside agencies (medical providers), day program staff, and senior management at corporate and divisional offices.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Human Services or related field and/or one year previous work experience in human service setting preferable

• Two additional years of experience, one in a supervisory capacity, which may substitute for the baccalaureate

• Ability to employ physical restraint techniques and physical intervention as needed

• Department of Public Health certification in medication administration (MAP) is required.

• First Aid and CPR Certifications are required

• Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver's license and meet the company's driver insurance standards

• A personal vehicle for travel

• An acceptable CORI (criminal record assessment)

• Moderate to exceptional Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and email systems


Supervisory:

• Serve as the immediate supervisor of all Residential Counselors, Overnight Counselors, and relief staff within program

• Interview and approve all new hires

• Chair biweekly meetings

• Conduct monthly 1:1 supervision with each staff

• Perform annual performance appraisals on all staff

• Implement progressive disciplinary procedures as needed


Operations:

• Oversee all activities relative to the day-to-day management of the home ( e.g., development, implementation, and review of ISPs, clinical programs, and other treatment plans; coordination of transportation)

• Manage petty cash system and consumer funds

• Monitor program budget and consumer income

• Ensure compliance with DDS licensing standards, CARF standards, OSHA regulations, and Victory Human Services enhancement standards

• Ensure all staff are current with their certifications (CPR, First Aid and MAP)


Staffing:

• Staff scheduling and the procurement of relief coverage to ensure programmatic and safety needs of the consumers

• On-call service for own program(s). May provide back-up on-call as deemed necessary for other residential programs


Training - Responsible for training and assessing all staff in:

• Consumer-specific clinical and educational programs

• Medication packaging, administration, and documentation

• Fire safety and Human Rights

• Management of consumer funds

• Medical management

• OSHA standards

• State and federal regulatory standards and procedures

• Other operational systems, including all company personnel and DDS Division policies and procedures


Clinical Educational:

• Ensure compliance with all aspects of ISP process

• Develop and implement clinical programs

• Provide case management

• Serve as a liaison between the residential and day programs to ensure integration of clinical services

• Regularly review all recording sheet, charts and log entries

• Monitor monthly and quarterly progress notes system


• Promote a positive relationship with neighbors and local community

• Perform other duties as assigned by Program Director or Director of Services

Salary Description
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 - annually
