Gourmet Retail Associate
Description

Linvilla Orchards is a prominent agritourism farm in Delaware County, and we are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the inventory and presentation of gourmet food products in our store. You will work closely with the store manager and other team members to ensure that the shelves are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing to customers. Your passion for gourmet foods and dedication to providing exceptional customer service will contribute to the success of our store. We are looking for a part time merchandiser with the potential for a full- time position.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to create attractive displays and promotional setups.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments of gourmet food products, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, providing recommendations and information about gourmet food items.
  • Stock shelves and display cases with gourmet food items according to store standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to the store management team.

  • Give feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, and general issues.
  • Comply with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 50 pounds, on shelving at various heights.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk about the store.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Reliability, high personal integrity, and a people focused values orientation
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays (weekends required)
  • Minimum two years retail experience preferred
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service
  • Work both independently and within a team environment
  • Remain organized, give attention to detail, follow instructions and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner
  • Must be available Monday through Friday.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
  • A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
