CNC Toolroom Machinist
Description

     

The Machinist is responsible for the manufacturing of parts per plant   specifications in an accurate and timely manner utilizing manual and Computer   Numeric Controlled (CNC) machine centers. 

  

1. Sets up, programs, and operates CNC machine centers.

2. Troubleshoot and problem solve machining issues as they occur.

3. Adjust and monitor feeds and speeds of machines.

4. Train other machinists on various machines.

5. Assist in the decision-making process of future machine and tooling purchases.

6. Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition including coolant and lubrication.

7. Meets with engineers to discuss potential machine problems.

Requirements

 Good math and communication skills. The ability to read and understand blueprints and other manufacturing instructions. Problem Solving Skills. Keen attention to detail is required. Strong Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, geometry, algebra, and trigonometry calculations. Ability to read and understand blueprints, GD&T and dimensional tolerances. SolidWorks &/or programing software knowledge is preferred.
