Objective

Mack Industries is in search of a Dispatcher with customer service experience to add to our team in Valley City, Ohio and servicing contractors and construction projects. The individual in this role will have experience dispatching, taking orders, scheduling of drivers and deliveries, and communicating with other departments. 

Essential Functions 

• Responsible for order taking, scheduling, dispatching and customer service
• Properly schedules and dispatches orders into the system 
• Experience with cold call sales and inside sales
• Maintain and grow current knowledge of local competitive markets, knowledge in ready mix concrete, concrete construction, and concrete related products and services
• Strong sales abilities to acquire new customers and grow Mack’s market shares in Northern Ohio
• Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes and shift time changes
• Assist in other areas as needed

Education and Training

• Associates degree or greater in Business Management, Construction Management or related field 
• Experience as a Ready-Mix Dispatcher preferred 
• Construction site safety including concrete material handling and basic equipment maintenance a plus

Minimum Qualifications 

• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer skills required
• Basic business skills/knowledge preferred 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 
• Able to work independently
• Knowledge of concrete specifications and building codes a plus

Environment Conditions and Physical Strain

• Construction environment, seasonal weather conditions
• Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, on occasion
• This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day
