Position Purpose
This position reports the the VP of Sales and Marketing. The Key Account Manager establishes and executes specific plans to drive new sales, as well as implementing customized solutions for assigned key customers along with potential growth customers in assigned territory. The successful candidate must have the ability to foster new relationships while maintaining current relationships and possess a drive for success.
Key Accountabilities for this Position
- Responsible for establishing, growing, and managing new and existing customer relationships and communications.
- Must learn our customers’ businesses, understand their needs and challenges and develop solutions to meet their needs.
- Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients
- Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
- Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
- Negotiating contracts with key clients and meeting established deadlines for the fulfillment of each client's long-term goals.
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
- Must continue to identify business needs and opportunities, as well as develop and implement customized solutions for our customers.
- Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
- Must be willing to travel to current, new, and potential customers to generate further sales.
- Must attend continuing education on product lines offered by C3.

Experience & Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 10+ years of sales experience (OEM preferred) with an understanding of the furniture, foam or bedding industry
- Proven experience in key account management
- Valid drivers license.
- Must pass and maintain vehicle insurability.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM software.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and work long hours.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time which may include overnight trips
