Description


The Marketing Specialist/Client Partnerships plays a vital role in supporting the sales and marketing team at CM&B as we craft compelling content in pursuit of new accounts and new opportunities. From the  creation and development of all client-facing marketing materials including proposals, presentations, and marketing decks to email marketing campaigns and social media content, no two days are the same. This position requires a unique blend of creativity, organizational skills, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate is a capable multitasker adept at proposal writing with proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite's InDesign.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal Development:

Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, ensuring that proposals are well-written and well-designed, delivered on time, meet client requirements, and align with the company's strategic goals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, project managers, and technical staff, to gather relevant information for proposal content.

Design Expertise:

Design and manage all marketing collateral, including proposals, marketing decks, project-specific reports, presentations for current and prospective clients, project sheets, resumes, and internal award announcements.

Content Management:

Maintain a centralized content library including resumes, completed and in-progress project imagery, etc., ensuring accuracy, relevance, and consistency across all documents.

Collaborate with appropriate departments to translate complex technical information into clear and understandable proposal content.

Digital Content Creation:

Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to craft compelling social media content, email marketing campaigns, blog posts and website content that align with the overarching sales and marketing strategy.

Client Engagement:

Work closely with estimating, operations, and account leads to understand client needs and devise a strategy that aligns with specific client requirements. Prepare the team for client meetings and presentations with printed materials as needed. 

Market Research:

Stay informed about industry trends, client preferences, and competitor activities to tailor proposals to the current market landscape.

 

Once a qualified candidate has been identified through the resume review, CM&B will ask the candidate to submit a cover letter and graphic work samples. Design samples should demonstrate your ability to combine visual and written content, including excerpts from proposal submission, a magazine layout, a presentation, etc. Please include all information in a single PDF that does not exceed 10MB.

Requirements

 

· 3-5 years of relevant experience in the architecture/engineering/construction industry. Experience preparing proposals and presentations is a plus

· Candidate must have the ability to switch gears frequently and smoothly

· The successful candidate will be a high-energy individual with a can-do attitude who is creative and detail-oriented

· Ability to coordinate and manage key team members during RFQ/RFP/interview development

· Ability to work under pressure with competing schedule demands

· Ability to take initiative and to be persistent

· Document layout expertise, with an exacting eye for detail

· Ability to incorporate feedback quickly and decisively

· Excellent time management skills and ability to manage overlapping deadlines

· Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team

· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically InDesign). Working knowledge in Illustrator and Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite

· Strong writing and editing skills
