JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Senior Vice President of Information Technology

Department: Administration

FLSA Title: Exempt

Pay Range: Salary Based on Experience


Position Summary: The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Information Technology plays a

pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South by

harnessing technology to drive innovation, efficiency, and impact across the organization.

Reporting directly to the Senior Executive Vice President , Chief Operating Officer, the SVP of

Information Technology will lead the IT department, spearheading the development and

execution of a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the YMCA's mission and values.

Essential Functions:

 Strategic Leadership

 Develop and champion a forward-thinking IT strategy that positions The YMCA of

Memphis & the Mid-South as a leader in leveraging technology to advance its

mission and achieve strategic goals.

 Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for technology-driven

innovation and transformation across all facets of YMCA's operations and programs.


 Digital Transformation

 Lead The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South's digital transformation efforts by

identifying emerging technologies and trends that can enhance service delivery,

engagement, and operational efficiency.

 Drive the adoption of digital solutions and platforms that empower staff, volunteers,

and members to connect, collaborate, and thrive in the digital age.



 Data-driven Decision Making

 Establish robust data analytics capabilities to enable evidence-based

decision-making and performance optimization across YMCA's programs,

fundraising, and operations.

 Implement data governance frameworks and processes to ensure the accuracy,

integrity, and security of YMCA's data assets.


 Digital Architecture

 Define and maintain the digital architecture roadmap for The YMCA of Memphis &

the Mid-South, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy.

 Lead the design and implementation of scalable and resilient digital solutions that

support YMCA's growth and innovation initiatives.


 Salesforce Expertise

 Oversee the integration, customization, and optimization of Salesforce and

Salesforce applications to support YMCA's sales, marketing, and constituent

management processes.

 Provide strategic guidance on leveraging Salesforce as a key platform for enhancing

member engagement, fundraising, and program delivery.


 Innovation and Partnerships

 Cultivate a culture of innovation within the IT department and across The YMCA of

Memphis & the Mid-South, encouraging experimentation, creativity, and

collaboration to solve complex challenges and seize opportunities.

 Foster strategic partnerships with technology vendors, research institutions, and

industry peers to access cutting-edge solutions, expertise, and resources.


 Agile Development and Delivery

 Implement agile methodologies and practices to accelerate the development,

testing, and deployment of IT solutions, ensuring responsiveness to evolving

business needs and stakeholder expectations.

 Champion a user-centric approach to product and service design, leveraging

feedback and insights to drive continuous improvement and user satisfaction.


 Risk Management and Compliance

 Develop and implement robust IT governance frameworks, policies, and controls to

mitigate cybersecurity risks, safeguard sensitive information, and ensure

compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

 Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize disruptions

and protect YMCA's operations in the event of unforeseen incidents or emergencies.


 Budgeting and Resource Allocation

 Develop and manage the IT department budget, allocating resources strategically to

support key initiatives, projects, and operational needs.

 Monitor IT expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource

allocation to maximize the return on investment and achieve financial sustainability.

 All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master's
  • degree preferred.
  •  Proven track record of strategic leadership and innovation in driving digital transformation
  • and technology adoption within complex organizations.
  •  Extensive experience (10+ years) in senior IT leadership roles, preferably in the non-profit
  • sector or a mission-driven organization.
  •  Deep knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, data management, digital architecture,
  • Salesforce, and Salesforce applications.
  •  Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate
  • technology trends and insights into actionable strategies and initiatives.
  •  Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability
  • to engage and influence diverse audiences, including executives, board members, staff,
  • and external partners.
  •  Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of
  • collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  •  Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management
  • Professional (PMP), Salesforce certifications, or other relevant certifications preferred.
