Position: School Partnership & Engagement Manger

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid requiring 3+ days on-site weekly)

Job Status: Full-time, non-exempt 

Reports To: Executive Director, MENTOR IR Independence Region 

Salary Range: $50K-$58K

MENTOR Independence Region (MIR), a department of Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence, shares the mission to ignite the power and promise of youth and close the mentoring gap, by creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships and strengthening the quality of the mentoring field. MIR engages in a body of work separate from but related to Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs. MIR seeks to strengthen relationship-based support for all youth through formal and informal strategies. MIR provides services to organizations such as mentoring programs, nonprofits, educational institutions and corporations in service of increasing the quality and quantity of supportive relationships to young people across Eastern Pennsylvania.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The School Partnership and Engagement Manager at MIR plays a pivotal role in enhancing educational outcomes by facilitating and managing robust partnerships with 3-5 schools. This role involves a dynamic mix of relationship management, data-driven decision-making, and strategic action planning. The manager will act as a consultant, facilitator, and advocate in guiding schools through the Relationship Centered Schools Process, developed in collaboration with MENTOR National and our Big Brother Big Sisters Independence (BBBSI) partners.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and Facilitate the Relationship Centered Schools Process:

· Develop and sustain relationships with key stakeholders within the schools, MENTOR National, BBBSI partners, and other supporters of the school action plans.

· Lead the facilitation of the Relationship Centered Schools process across 3-5 school partners, including tasks such as relationship building, data collection and analysis, hosting Design Lab Workshops, and developing action plans.

· Provide ongoing weekly coaching and support, enhancing the educational environment and student success.

· Offer consultations on mentoring practices, youth empowerment, and innovative program design.


Contribute to Organizational Learning and National Pilots:

· Participate actively in organizational learning initiatives aimed at improving the implementation effectiveness of the RCS process.

· Engage with the MENTOR National RCS Cohort to deepen expertise and enhance skills relevant to the RCS process.

· Help in scaling and operationalizing the initiative within the service area.


Support MENTOR IR’s Broader Mission:

· Act as an ambassador for MENTOR IR, representing its mission and vision in various capacities.

· Assist in organizing and executing events and outreach activities that align with the organization's mission.

· Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data entry into key database systems and facilitate effective knowledge transfer across communication channels.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Academic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Education or Social Work or related field. Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in consulting, education, social work, program development, or management preferred.


Professional Requirements: Applicant must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Products and experience with CRM software. Applicant must have the ability to work with diverse constituents and will have experience in the education or a nonprofit/human services field. Applicant must possess strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, organizational skills, and a customer service focus. Must have the ability to travel weekly within our service area and attend in person meetings and/or events in the greater Philadelphia Region.
