Description

  

We are looking to hire an exemplary Customer Focused Individual to join our team to deliver exceptional customer care and support. The representative will build a strong rapport with the staff, as well as our customers. You will play a collaborative role in growing and implementing standards and processes both at the customer’s facility and within our operations. You will be working at our customer locations handling the Vendor Managed Inventory programs and services for GT Midwest and collaborating with our shipping and sales teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for the position include but not limited to the following: 

· Scanning VMI orders based on Customer Established Min-Max levels, 2 Bin, 2 Bag etc.

· Verify accuracy and quality of products and put away incoming orders at our customer locations.

· Coordinate changes, additions, deletions of parts with GT and Customer designated representatives.

· Communicate with Customer representatives to ensure additional inventory needs are meet.

· Relay and assist with information concerning quality issues.

· Ensure that you exhibit excellent communication both with our customers but also internal team members.

· Ensure that customer complaints are resolved in a professional and timely manner.

· Provide technical assistance to customers for their inquiries.

· Follow work procedures, work schedules, and workflow expectations set forth by management.

· Identify Continuous Improvement Opportunities in Productivity, Process and Cycle Time.

· Maintain in-depth working knowledge of the company’s brands, systems and processes.

· Maintain communication with customers via emails, phone calls, mails, etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. Clean driving record required.  Preferred experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing operations as well as customer service or sales experience. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to read, write, and communicate orally in English with co-workers, managers, and customers

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Basic computer skills are needed to learn to access the GT ERP system, familiarization with scanning equipment may be useful

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing are necessary. Calculating square footage and use of fractions or decimals may be necessary

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Required to use hands and arms for lifting, grabbing, pulling, pushing, and feeling.  Employees will be climbing in and out of vehicles, bending, squatting, walking, and sitting. Will be required to lift up to 60lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Fast paced environment. Warehouses will generally range in temperature from 60-100 degrees.  Some overtime may be necessary

Salary Description
$20.00-$30.00
