Accurate Heating, Cooling and Plumbing is looking for Commercial Install Supervisor. This position is based in Columbus.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

To manage the installation operations for commercial special projects including the scheduling and dispatch of crews, ordering, and purchasing of equipment and materials.  Proactive, clear, and concise communications with customers, including keeping customers appraised to project schedule, equipment lead, and changes to the scope of work.  Oversee the training and efficiency of installers.  Manage the overall supervision of the project installation crews and the profitability of installation jobs.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Review new jobs with installer and salesman. Obtain all necessary information for a successful project completion. 

· Create job packets for lead installers including cut sheets, drawings, and job description forms.  

· Have projects organized and planned before start including materials, subs, and building access. 

· Make sure all jobs have permits and the inspections are called in when ready.

· Schedule manpower for customer satisfaction and efficiency. 

· Purchase equipment for jobs scheduled while minimizing inventory.

· Schedule subcontractors and rental equipment.

· Assist with installation conflicts between installers, subcontractors, GC, etc.

· Turn over tomorrow’s materials lists for completion today.

· Assist with installation and deliveries as needed. 

· Create punch lists and status report for all open projects. 

· Assist and/or complete equipment starts ups as needed including start up sheets. 

· Coordinate with vendors as needed regarding returns, warranty, and delivery.

· Create punch lists and status report for all open projects. 

· Conduct building inspections including smoke tests. 

· Turn in all files for billing from prior day.

· Be available by phone for installer’s questions. 

· Know whereabouts and progress of crew during the day.

· Spot check installer time versus actual GPS.

· Approve installer timecards including start/stop time, location, and job number.

· Installer evaluations and performance reviews.

· Work with HR for hiring needs and perform interviews and lead hiring process for new installers. 

· Create installer training plan for all installers in department.

· Create labor reports, analyze, and make available for Salesman.

· Assist salesman with estimating, quotes, and site surveys as needed.

· Attend weekly planning meetings. 

· Site visits to obtain estimating information. Price projects as needed. 

· Ensure proper safety precautions are being taken and training is provided as needed

Performance Indicators

Certain key business indicators will measure the effectiveness of the Field Supervisor/ Project Manager.  These include the following:

· Contract performance, how many hours for install compared to the number of hours estimated.

· Degree to which unproductive labor or lost time is minimized

· Degree to which installers improve in ability and in efficiency

· Number of problems that arise as a result of jobs not being installed according to original or revised layout and design.

· Number of warranty calls, resulting in non-billable time

· Number of return trips/call backs due to installer error.

· Quality of installers paperwork and documentation of operations/installations

· Number of times jobs not started on time

· Number of jobs held up due to material, equipment, or fittings not ready.

· Number of safety infractions.


  

Experience:

5 plus years of HVAC experience


Reports To: Install Supervisor
