Job purpose

The IC/QC & Distribution Coordinator I - Weekend Shift is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the Tissue Bank. Ensure that Inventory Control Operations are in Compliance with the State and Federal Regulations and AATB Standards. Promotes Lean Behaviors across the organization (This includes Participating in Try storming, Brainstorming and Lean Related Initiatives). Resourceful in completing deadlines and can multitask effectively.


Duties and responsibilities

1. Preparation of the Inventory Control Area as specifically described in SOPs.2. Maintains accurate inventory of post-processing, quarantine products (frozen and room temperature).3. Performs disposition of nonconforming products as directed.4. Responsible for all data entry and completion of paperwork of tissue(s).5. Knowledge of information contained in the Tissue Bank Manuals6. Must be able to perform duties under supervision.7. Maintains knowledge of applicable regulations and standards related to storage, handling, labeling and inspections of tissue.8. Stages Tissue(s) for Sterilization and receive tissue from Sterilization/Irradiation.9. Responsible for the receipt of donors/tissues for Processing.10. Responsible for scheduling, sending, and receiving tissue for Sterilization/Irradiation while monitoring freezers and acknowledge alarms in Tutela System.11. Responsible for creating daily reports to control Inventory Area and report any discrepancies.12. Coordinates and integrates efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.13. Reconciles Tissue(s) inventory and transfer released product for Distribution.16. Discards Donors/Tissue as instructed per SOP/WI's.17. Ensures proper documentation for all tissue inventory transfers.18. Ensures housekeeping practices for the work areas.19. Responsible for selecting and retrieving finished goods (ambient temperature and frozen) from the distribution area and/or -80°C freezers to fulfill customer orders. 20. Responsible for the final preparation and packaging of finished goods for shipment to end-users and/or distributors.21. Receives released finished goods from internal departments and places the grafts in appropriate storage units utilizing computer software (BTM) for physical tissue tracking.22. Responsible for reconciliation of inventory on a routine basis and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) is maintained.23. Receives customer product returns and electronically returns the allografts in BTM.24. Creates e-mail communication confirming daily order processing.25. Prepares customer packages for courier pick-ups.26. Processes all internal shipping requests.27. Performs final inspection of products for proper specifications, label accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulations, standards and Vivex Biologics, Inc. quality requirements.28. Combines components for final products.29. Applies labels to final product and adds package inserts, boxes, etc.30. Monitors freezers and responds to alarms.31. Performs other duties as assigned.  
Requirements

Qualifications

High School/Minimum of 4 Years of Relevant Experience.

Associate/Minimum of 1 Years of Relevant experience.

Bachelors/Minimum of 0-1 Years of Relevant experience

Qualifications include:

  • Strong Interpersonal, organization, and documentation skills
  • Written, Verbal and strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Can multitask effectively.

Working conditions

The majority of the work is performed indoors, standing, and walking throughout the facility. Occasional warehouse work if needed. 


Physical requirements

The ability to be able to lift boxes up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs. 


The ability to be able to use hand trucks and pallet jacks both manual and automatic.
