Position Summary: The DCCC Member Services Department provides fundraising, campaign and political assistance to Members and candidates. Staff serves as key liaisons to Members on behalf of the Committee as well as advocates for Members to the Committee. The staff also serves as the eyes and ears for the committee and ensures that Members' needs and concerns are addressed. While the Managing Director makes the final approval for all assigned tasks and outgoing materials from the department and sets the goals for the department, the Member Services team works collaboratively to ensure exemplary service. 


This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.


Responsibilities Include:


Administration:

  • Assists in overseeing daily operations of the Member call areas
  • Serves as a liaison to the Members of Congress and the Committee on behalf of Members
  • Manages and updates numerous databases, including regular data entry
  • Maintains and updates department resource manuals, materials, supplies, and digital tools
  • Organizes campaign fundraising mail and email communications on behalf of the Member Services Department
  • Maintains log of services provided daily
  • Records Member of Congress attendance during each engagement event
  • Coordinates intern and volunteer opportunities for the department, as applicable
  • Sets up in-person and virtual outreach meetings, including legal compliance briefings and trainings
  • Assists with mailings and phone banks for campaign events
  • Manages and updates system access for various digital services

Member Outreach:

  • Publishes and distributes Member of Congress event fundraising information and weekly events directory
  • Drafts correspondence to Members of Congress regarding the DCCC’s campaign contributions
  • Assists Managing Director of Member Services with managing and scheduling Member of Congress events
  • Provides individualized trainings and orientations on products, services, and resources
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements
  • Previous administrative experience required
  • Previous political experience preferred
  • Previous experience managing and scheduling meetings and events
  • Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite products
  • Ability to work well as an individual contributor as well as a teammate
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, communicate effectively with principles and their agents, work with a sense of urgency and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires flexibility and teamwork
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
  • High-level of attention to detail, especially when multitasking
  • Ability to monitor the details and quality of one’s work and others’ work on the team

Salary Description
$50,000.00 a year
