Summary: Prepares and maintains records for all outgoing shipments. Verifies information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Transacts all movements for shipments. Performs cycle counts as required and participates in year-end physical inventory. Other Inventory assignments as needed. Able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively individually as well as a team member.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pull parts for custom program orders and ship according to instructions and transacts in SL
- Verifies all artwork on custom orders and notifying appropriate person of errors
- Verifies counts on all Custom weight, locates in inventory and transacts in SL
- Picks parts for Stampers from custom/kanban areas as required and transacts in SL
- Monitors order system for new Custom orders. Communicates with Zildjian Sales Support and Artist Relations representatives regularly regarding Custom Order details, changes, etc. Expected to keep up with these communications via newportshipping@zildjian.com and other means and to communicate respectfully and professionally at all times.
- Counts, boxes, clearly label and locates into inventory all Kanban sticks and transacts in Syteline
- Shipping quotes as required
- Manual shipments of samples for artist relations
- Prepares finished goods shipment to Geodis (transfer order, pallet labeling, packing slip, palletizing, and loading)
- Receives all incoming shipments, verifying quantities against packing slip, transacts in SL and moves material to appropriate department
- Counting inventory parts as needed and/or assigned
- Operates propane & electric fork trucks, including a high-rise turret truck, and pallet jacks to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
- Able to work as a contributing Inventory Control Team Member
- Obey all safety instructions, practices, and postings
- Maintain good housekeeping in assigned area
- Unplanned activities, other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. College degree an added plus.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS:
Proficient in basic math skills.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must be able to prioritize workload to accommodate production. Ability to apply common sense understanding in carrying out written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands of the job includes operating material handling equipment, bending, and reaching. The job requires lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. Corrected vision of 20/20 required.
