Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is seeking to add a Senior Java Developer to our team in support of a long-term DoD program called the Army Selection Board System (ASBS).
This is a remote role responsible for the development and implementation for updates to existing software.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) development tasks and peer review for the ASBS Project.
- This position will focus on full stack development with adherence to styles and attention to detail.
- They must be an excellent communicator, problem solver, and actively independent thinker.
- The selected candidate must be able to work as part of a team and be willing to mentor others.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
Candidate must have a DoD Secret Clearance.
Candidate must have CompTIA Security+ or other applicable 8570 IAT Level II certification.
Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years' experience as a software developer.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience Java Spring Boot.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience with Angular 10 or greater.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year(s) experience in an Agile Environment.
- Candidate must have professional certification in their profession or field of study, or willing to obtain one.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Amazon Web Services, JBOSS, Rest Services, GraphQL.
- Prior knowledge of Military processes and procedures is welcomed.
Work Environment
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.
