Description

Since 1990, James has been extensively involved in Vietnam and several other SE Asia countries with REI and his previous organization, having made 20-25 trips into the region. He has often presented on “Cultural Communication” and “East-West Differences” at several universities in Vietnam as a member of REI’s Business Team. 

REI began in Vietnam in 1992 with short-term teams who did training in agriculture, medical topics and workshops, English educational training, business, and social work. We have had up to nine resident team members at any one time over the years. Currently James Kang and three other resident team members live in Hanoi. Presently we have many as 9 medical and two short-term business teams annually working in Vietnam.
