The Role!

It’s not that recruiting is a bad term, rather it’s only half of the people equation.  Our team members maintain a persistent commitment to the mission and to their customers.  What that means is that they tend to get lost in their work and lose sight of other critical aspects of being part of Synergy ECP that we value very much.

So, being a People Partner is one part finding and recruiting talent to help build the best possible team to address Synergy ECP’s goals, while at the same time following those hires post integration to help them become successful in every aspect of their job.  But more specifically:

Goals.  We should help employees set personal goals and support the review process to ensure everyone gets the most out of doing them. Reviews should be considered a tool for improvement, not a time-suck to check a box. 

Environment.  Synergy ECP wants to build and maintain an environment and culture that is fun, academic, and caring.  What that means is that you will help shape an intelligent, creative and humble-servant culture.  This will include the coordination of lectures in the office (inside or outside lecturers), help guide employees to find ways to educate themselves through self-learning, training, conferences, wellness initiatives, etc., and coordinate “fun” events for team building and recruiting.

So, what this means is that you will help identify challenges and roadblocks preventing our employees from bringing their best selves to work, and then communicate your findings with their manager and People Operations team to help identify solutions that address them. 

What is Success and How is it Measured?

There will be hiring goals.  At the end of the day, we need to hire great people and based on demand, we should set goals to do that while working cohesively as a team to accomplish them.  

But we value quality as much as quantity.  Your goal is to bring the best candidates that fit our technical needs and our unique culture.  

Finally, its general happiness and mission success.  If the team is happy, they are personally growing, and our customers are happy - then you have done your job.  

We will make this success criteria somewhat quantitative, but that’s part of your job to help work with us to measure these goals.

Requirements

What we are looking for!

Minimum one year of recruiting, sourcing, talent acquisition or HR experience (tech preferred, but will consider other industries)

Strong business acumen

An empathetic and altruistic approach to working with people

Results driven and intellectually curious

An appreciation for Human Resources policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives

Humble, kind, and ready to learn!
