IL2000 is looking for a Carrier Sales Manager. This role is tactically focused, responsible for a team of Carrier Sales Representatives. The Carrier Sales Manager will be a player/coach, both managing the day-to-day operations of the Brokerage team along with sourcing capacity to meet customer need.
This position does not require relocation. This is a remote position that does require occasional travel, approximately less than 5%. This role requires an existing understanding of freight management, and / or experience working in LTL, Freight Forwarding, Freight Management, or the 3PL industry. Applicants without experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities
• Provide leadership to the team to achieve IL2000 company goals.
• Solicit new carriers to add to the IL2000 network.
• Develop long-term relationships with trucking company stakeholders.
• Continually work on improving customer service, transit times and transportation costs.
• Negotiate price, drive process, and improve efficiency.
• Identify issues and work cross-functionally to determine and implement the best solution.
• Resolve any carrier/driver-related issues that may arise during a transaction.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• 2+ years of team leadership/management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated success in a proactive sales environment.
• Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Detail orientated with analytical and technical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
