Description

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and versatile Controller to join our team. This role will be pivotal in overseeing the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, and supporting the financial health of our company. The Controller will report directly to the COO and manage the Accounting Team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, budgets, and financial reports.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to maintain the integrity of financial data and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audit processes.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Mentor and develop the accounting team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Ensure efficient and effective financial operations, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and benefits management with Baden’s HR administrator.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support business initiatives and objectives.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated ability to wear many hats and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with Microsoft Business Central a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


Salary Description
$120,000 - $160,000
