The Role:

The Ecommerce Manager will be pivotal in shaping and executing Stella & Chewy's online sales strategy, focusing on maximizing our presence and performance across key ecommerce platforms such as Amazon (Seller and Vendor Central), Chewy, and our own DTC site. This role involves a blend of strategic planning, hands-on management, and creative execution, ensuring that our brand not only meets but exceeds our online sales goals. Reporting directly to the Director of Ecommerce, you will collaborate closely with various teams to enhance our online visibility, engage our customers, and drive sales growth.

You have a proven track record of managing successful online sales strategies, are adept at handling Seller and Vendor Central on Amazon, have experience with Amazon Ads and Promote IQ, and are familiar with platforms like Salsify and Shopify. Your creative approach to online marketing, combined with your ability to analyze and leverage data, makes you a formidable force in ecommerce. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive online sales strategy, focusing on Amazon, Chewy, and our direct-to-consumer platform, to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Manage all aspects of Seller (3P) and Vendor Central (1P) on Amazon, including item setup, promotional campaigns, and operational improvements, when needed.
  • Leverage Amazon Ads and Chewy Ads to enhance brand visibility and sales on Amazon and Chewy.com.
  • Use the Amazon Ads and Chewy Promote IQ consoles to pull data and leverage data to guide decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Stella & Chewy’s brand marketing team to create compelling creative and written content briefs that align with our ecommerce strategy.
  • Understand the different uses for content on PDPs (Images, written, video, and below-the-fold) and how to optimize each.
  • Develop written content that is optimized for Search and conduct A/B tests to arrive at optimal content geared towards item discoverability and conversion.
  • Oversee the product listing process across platforms, utilizing Salsify for efficient management of product information and assets.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas of improvement, adapting strategies as needed to optimize results.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration of ecommerce activities with overall business objectives.
  • Have experience working with different Amazon.com teams such as Retail, Ads, and Supplier Vendor Services.
  • Understand Amazon & Chewy.com operation requirements and be able to communicate and work with internal stakeholders to reduce chargebacks and shortages.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in ecommerce, with a strong emphasis on online sales strategies and platform management (Amazon, Chewy, Shopify/WooCommerce).
  • Experience with either Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central Demonstrable success in managing and optimizing ecommerce platforms and campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the pet industry or a related consumer goods sector.
  • Proficiency in ecommerce tools and platforms, including Salsify and the Amazon ecosystem.
  • Experience working with/managing media and creative agencies and holding them accountable for KPIs.
  • Creative thinker with experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset, with a track record of driving growth in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Have experience with Amazon’s A+ Premium Content and Chewy+ Premium Content.
  • Experience with Shopify and WooCommerce.
  • Experience with managing a trade budget.
