Responsibilities
- Seek out and engage walk-in traffic in the showroom to generate new business.
- Direct customers to other departments to maximize sales opportunities.
- Consult with clients to understand their kitchen design needs, preferences and budget.
- Utilize selling tools provided to guide and educate clients (e.g., displays,20/20 design software, VR Software)
- Guide clients in selecting materials, finishes, and offer product recommendations.
- Perform site visits, accurately measure, and calculate dimensions for kitchen layouts.
- Develop detailed kitchen designs using 20/20 computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Thoroughly review all project details including product selection, pricing, lead times, manufacturer’s warranty, and obtain client signoffs.
- Place orders with various e-ordering programs and review orders for accuracy.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in vendor training to remain current with design programs and market trends.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in kitchen design, interior design, or architectural design required.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of space planning, layout design, and cabinetry specifications.
- Willingness to learn new products, software, and skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with 20/20 CAD software or similar (Chief Architect, AutoCAD).
