Position Summary
The Volunteer & Food Drive Coordinator assists with volunteer shifts, community food drives and is responsible for a positive and productive community engagement impact.
Essential Duties and Functions
- Plan and assist with volunteer recruitment, research, retention, and management for all departments across the Food Bank.
- Maintain and utilize volunteer database for placement in different departments and events.
- Coordinate and oversee volunteer sessions to support operational needs while maintaining safety standards, record keeping, and protocols in volunteer areas.
- Maintain and organize volunteer areas as per company standards.
- Advocate purpose and impact of volunteer activities.
- Maintain the virtual food drive website and donor information as per requirements
- Coordinate and monitor food drive events, collaborating internally and externally with volunteers, community partners and staff.
- Attend community outreach and engagement events.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to work flexible schedule that includes evening and weekends.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products.
- Community Involvement
Education/Experience Preferred:
- High School Education or GED
- Community Engagement experience preferred.
