We are seeking a Salesforce Solutions Architect to join our growing Salesforce team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and able to collaborate cross-functionally in a nationally distributed remote environment.  


Responsibilities: 

  • Coaching, training, and mentoring a team of engineers in their day-to-day activities, with a strong focus on feedback and growth, while unblocking issues and providing technical guidance and clarification. 
  • Designing end-to-end Salesforce solutions considering functional requirements, non-functional requirements, data integrity, integration needs, and user experience 
  • Overseeing the implementation of Salesforce solutions, ensuring that the technical teams meet the architectural design and business requirements, and ensuring proper maintenance strategies of application architecture 
  • Leading options analyses, proof-of-concept implementations, and validations for proposed solutions 
  • Assisting in developing a technical roadmap for the program 
  • Identifying risks, managing change, and designing cloud solutions that are efficient and scalable  
  • Gathering technical requirements and understand user stories to translate dependencies to the technical delivery team 
  • Driving solution meetings with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders on business vision, architectural issues, product, engineering standards, and lead documentation efforts 
  • Staying up-to-date on Salesforce trends, releases, new features, and product roadmaps 
  • Setting and enforcing Salesforce best practices and coding standards that promote code reusability, maintainability, and performance 
  • Implementing mature unit and integration testing to ensure systems work as intended. 
  • Promoting cross-team collaborations and disseminating information through knowledge sharing sessions, communities of practice, etc. 
  • Promoting and enforcing an automation-first approach to reduce manual configurations within the Salesforce platform using custom Apex scripts, Robotic Process Automation, etc. 
  • Supporting hiring efforts for the program, including conducting resume screens, technical interviews, and culture-and-values assessments 
  • Writing code! 
Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field 
  • 8+ years of experience in IT architecture, design, and development 
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience architecting complex Salesforce solutions 
  • Hands-on Salesforce development experience 
  • Experience managing a team of technical professionals 
  • Strong development experience of custom solutions on Salesforce platform working with Lightning Web Components, Apex Triggers, Apex Classes, Visualforce, SOQL  
  • Experience working with Copado CI/CD pipelines and knowledgeable on Copado best practices 
  • Experience with object-oriented programming design patterns and Salesforce data modeling best practices 
  • Experience working on/with an Agile and SAFe team  
  • Awareness of critical concepts in Security, DevSecOps and Agile principles 
  • Experience developing reporting and dashboards in Salesforce 
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and business stakeholders 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Experience working in multi-team development environments 
  • Knowledgeable on modular development practices and infrastructure-as-code concepts 
  • Experience with Copado Robotic Process Automation is a plus 
  • Experience in multi-cloud architectures and AWS cloud development is a plus 
  • Experience in civic technology and with government contracting is a plus 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Salesforce Certified Application Architect credentials 
  • Copado Fundamentals I and Copado Fundamentals II 

eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by your manager. 

Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.
