We are actively seeking an Agricultural Project Engineer to join our dedicated team of professionals in Lewisburg, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Morgantown, WV, State College, PA, Chambersburg, PA, Harrisburg, PA, York, PA, or Lehigh Valley, PA. As an Agricultural Engineer, key responsibilities include:

  • Prepares civil engineering type projects and design of agricultural projects
  • Completes Inventory and Evaluation Reports and preliminary cost estimates
  • Designs storm water management facilities and roadway improvements associated with farm operations
  • Prepares design calculations or analyses using engineering formulas and skills
  • Prepares and administers construction contracts
  • Completes project permitting requirements
  • Serves as construction field engineer/inspector during critical stages of construction of projects, which includes working with contractors, interprets design and specifications as required, completes the preparation of change orders
Requirements

 

· Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

· 4+ years’ experience with an emphasis on agricultural best management practice (BMP) designs in accordance with National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) standards

· Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Professional Engineering license required. Licensure in West Virginia and Maryland are optional.

· Possesses working knowledge of:

       o Inventory and Evaluation report development

       o Agricultural producer communication best practices

       o Concept plan development

       o BMP design, cost estimating

       o PADEP permitting

       o Land development approvals

       o Public bidding processes

       o Construction oversight

       o Project certification 

· Team player possessing strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.

· Has the flexibility to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary (Valid driver’s license is required) 

· Has the legal right to work in the U.S.
