The Position:
The Director, Industry Relations will implement and execute on the Company’s pharmaceutical manufacturer industry relations (“pharma”) strategy. The Director will work with the Vice President of Industry Relations to create and execute on strategic development, product line, sales, clinical operations, payor relations, and marketing teams to develop and execute plans for successful pharma goals and ensure objectives are achieved. Responsibilities include:
- Establish and maintain pharma industry relationships and new business relationships.
- Coordinate communications, meetings, and events between staff, clients, and outside vendors for pharma quarterly business reviews and any other meetings/conference calls.
- Relationship Development
- Establish and develop key industry relationships.
- Communicates Soleo’s capabilities and market differentiation.
- Facilitate engagement between industry partner and internal stakeholders within Soleo.
- Contract Management
- Oversees the Pharma request for Proposal (RFP) creation and content.
- Manage and support contract negotiations and process to agreement execution.
- Collaborates with PMO/Industry Relations implementation of pharma related new drugs, including Contract Support and Reporting
- Monitors pipeline, emerging therapeutics, industry, and market landscape.
- Work with cross-function teams internally to implement new drug launches and audit current programs for profitability and performance.
- Works within the ongoing budget and goals.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a health care related field
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health care or a related field
- 50% travel is required to meet with clients or other key stakeholders via commercial airlines, auto and/or train.
- Interpersonal and communication skills, works well in team environment, and able to work in diverse environments.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing through presentation and individual discussions with all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
- Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
