Summary:
As a Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for executing a strategic sales plan for our lens finishing products within your assigned territory. Your primary objective will be to consistently meet or exceed sales budgets and goals. We expect you to possess a deep understanding of our products, the competitive landscape, and the unique needs of both existing and potential customers. Building strong relationships and fostering customer loyalty will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage leads and maintain a robust sales pipeline within your designated territory using Salesforce CRM.
- Conduct product demonstrations for eye care professionals and their staff.
- Provide installation support for our instruments and offer training to customer staff as needed.
- Educate doctors and staff on the key benefits and features of our products.
- Establish and nurture a solid referral network to drive sales growth and enhance customer loyalty.
- Generate leads through proactive outreach, including cold calling, and meticulously document all activities in Salesforce CRM.
- Attend company, regional, and divisional meetings, as well as medical education programs, which may occasionally require evening or weekend availability.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience in the optical industry.
- Optician certification (ABO) and experience working in a finishing lab are highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and effectively communicate technical and scientific product information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate product features and benefits persuasively.
- Solid track record of sales achievements supported by professional references; formal sales training is advantageous.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, exercise sound business judgment, and cultivate key customer relationships to capitalize on territory opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including calendar management, virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams), and delivering effective presentations both virtually and in person.
- Valid driver’s license, along with collision and liability insurance for your vehicle, and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel extensively and occasionally stay overnight to fulfill job requirements.
