THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION
-Perform all position arc welding on a variety of fabricated products and material
-Receive route cards, prints, and work assignments from supervisor
-Read prints for welding requirements and sets proper amperage for type of material to be welded; cleans and prepares items for welding
-Positions and assembles material in jib, fixtures or welds preassembled units; may do limited set up
-Performs all position welding; selects proper electrode for specified weld
-Uses torch for burning or heating
-Operates automatic, semi-automatic
-Sets up stud welder
-Performs air gouging and maintenance welding
-Chips and cleans welds to apply additional weld passes
-Performs other duties as assigned or directed
2nd shift is 3PM to 1AM Monday to Thursday
Overtime on an as needed basis scheduled on Friday and/or Saturday
-High School diploma or equivalent
-1 year of welding experience and/or certification
-Hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, leather apron, flame resistant jacket, aluminumized sleeves, welders gloves
-Must pass background check and pre-employment physical and drug screen. Welding assessment is required during interview process.
