SUMMARY: Electro-Mechanical Field Technician 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide customer technical service and support to include installation/start-up (mechanical      and electrical)
  • PLC software modification on system controls 
  • Use of RSLogix 5000 and 500 to troubleshoot systems. 
  • Installing, programming and commissioning of AC VFDs especially PowerFlex. 
  • Minimal Use of Factory Talk View to troubleshoot PanelViewPlus HMIs. 
  • Customer training and troubleshooting 
  • Up to 75% Travel “both” Domestic and Foreign 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

  • Experience with Hydraulics systems and/or Industrial bakery equipment.

  • Mechanical and electrical technical skills to troubleshoot, design and solve machine malfunctions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit,
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. 
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. 
  • Occasionally required to talk or hear. 
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. 
  • Occasionally exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather) 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually      moderate. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 40 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job includes: Close vision; Distance vision;      Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.      
  • Frequently required to travel on airplanes or in automobiles.
