Journeyman Plumber
Description

Texas Biomed is searching for Journeyman Plumber to join our Facilities team. The successful candidate will plan and perform installation, preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on plumbing systems. This position will maintain, inspect and certify backflow preventers per the state requirements and assist with boiler inspections and repairs as needed.

                                                                                             

The Role:

  • Maintain and repair all plumbing components in an industrial environment.
  • Read blueprints and perform pipefitting per drawings and instructions.
  • Repair and replace steam to hot water exchangers for very large heated washers.
  • Repair and replace pneumatic steam valves, radiator valves, traps, and steam and condensate pipes.
  • Remove, repair/arrange for repair, and replace domestic hot water heat pumps, chilled water pumps, sump pumps, sewage pumps, lift station pumps, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair piping and valves to autoclaves, boilers, cage washer systems and other equipment as needed.

 Our Ideal Candidate:

  •  High school diploma or GED required.
  •  Minimum of 6 years trade experience.
  •  Current Masters or Journeyman Plumber/Pipe Fitter License and Backflow Preventer License.
  •  Must have valid driver’s license and meet Texas Biomed driving standards.
  •  Available to work Monday-Friday, 7am to 5pm with rotating on call schedule 24/7.
