POSITION SUMMARY  


Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Finance’s primary functions are to oversee the planning, execution, and performance analyses of our business lines, to enable and support key investment decisions and fundraising efforts, to manage the ongoing financial reporting and accounting functions, and to scope and analyze new and existing projects to ensure maximal value creation for Native Microbials customers and Native Microbials shareholders. The Director of Finance will manage working capital, control cash flow, and communicate operating performance through robust reporting and forecasting. Ensuring compliance with financial standards, safeguarding company assets, and supporting capital provision initiatives are essential duties. The role also includes assisting with annual financial audits, providing analytics support to various business groups, and developing financial models and reports. Ideal candidates will have fluency in financial modeling and analysis, mastery of Excel, and a proven track record of delivering recommendations to executive teams. A background in project management and experience in the life sciences or animal health industry is highly desirable. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: 
  • Oversee the financial operations of Native Microbials' international subsidiaries and divisions. 
  • Manage comprehensive financial planning processes, including scenario simulations. 
  • Execute performance target tracking and lead benchmarking efforts and opportunity assessments. 
  • Develop and manage financial models, diligence materials, and reports on key operating metrics. 
  • Investment and Fundraising: 
  • Enable and support key investment decisions and fundraising efforts. 
  • Identify and monitor the funding required to support business initiatives. 
  • Manage working capital, control cash flow, and communicate operating performance through robust reporting and forecasting. 
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: 
  • Ensure compliance with financial standards. 
  • Assist in safeguarding company assets by understanding and controlling liabilities, including legal contracts, statutory and tax obligations, contingencies, leases, and insurance summaries. 
  • Support initiatives to provide the necessary capital for the company. 
  • Assist with annual financial audits. 
  • Project Analysis and Value Creation: 
  • Scope and analyze new and existing projects to ensure maximal value creation for customers and shareholders. 
  • Provide best practice analytics support to various business groups, such as sales and manufacturing. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Fluency in financial modeling, financial analysis, and the FP&A process with a proven track record of excellent performance. 
  • Mastery of Excel and other planning tools. 
  • Proven experience in conducting analyses and communicating recommendations to the executive team. 
  • Experience with project management principles and concepts. 

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance. 
  • Exposure to business operations. 
  • Experience in the life sciences and/or manufacturing industry is a plus.
