The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the restaurant and bar according to Company standards. Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to staff; optimizes profits and increasing sales; manages all shifts ensuring guest satisfaction and meeting standards of quality and service.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages F&B operation which includes daily decision making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, planning, cost control, training and development of staff. Implementing and upholding standards, product quality, consistency and cleanliness.
- Responsible for the financial integrity of the food and beverage operation.
- Ordering & inventory of food, spirits and supplies.
- Coding of all invoices in the F&B department.
- Propose menus ideas, recipes and promotions working closely with the Director of F&B in the execution of the operation.
- Ensures that guest service standards are implemented and maintained, training staff and constantly reinforcing Company philosophy and service standards.
- Stay on task with the cost saving initiatives put in place by the company, do not deviate from specified products, prices, etc.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required):
- Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and organize
- Resolve problems using good judgment
- Understands guest’s service needs
- Direct performance of staff and follow-up with corrections needed.
- Ascertain department training needs and provide such training.
- Knowledge of applicable local state and federal health and safety regulations.
- Compute basic math calculations
- Knowledge of POS, Aloha preferred
- Familiar with food and beverage cost controls.
- High School Diploma or GED recommended. Experience may substitute for schooling. Minimum of 21 years of age
- Three years’ experience as an assistant restaurant manager, preferably in similar style restaurant.
- Fluent in English, has ability to speak, read and write.
- Computer literate in Word and Excel
- Certified in alcohol awareness program
- Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift.
- Current WA State Health Food Handlers Card and (MAST) Mandatory Alcohol server Training/Class 12/Class 13 permits.
