SUMMARY
Bishop Moore Catholic High School is seeking applicants for the position of Varsity Girls
Assistant Lacrosse Coach. This position is a seasonal position with a stipend. The role of the
assistant varsity lacrosse coach is to be responsible for coaching a varsity team, character
development and providing direction to student-athletes so that they might achieve a higher level
of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork. This job requires
you to interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student-athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents
and community and follow the mission of our school. Positive communication strategies,
organizational skills, and safety awareness are key requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required):
• 2-4 years of experience coaching lacrosse.
• Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
• Must possess knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
• Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school
administrators, opponents, staff, parents, and students.
Other Skills and Abilities
• Comprehensive knowledge of the game is paramount.
• Knowledge of NFHS and FHSAA rules.
• Demonstrated ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.
Skills:
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• The applicant must possess the ability to relate to students, teach them on and off the field, and
serve as a positive role model and BMC Ambassador for all constituents.
WORKING CONDITIONS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach, grasp, feel, and see up close and from afar. Must be able to use basic office computer hardware and peripherals, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (15 pounds).
