In search of a dynamic full-time Sales Account Manager to join our team. Based in the vibrant Los Angeles area, this individual will spearhead sales expansion efforts within the Hardware/Lumber Channel, extending up to Northern California. The role revolves around implementing sales and market positioning strategies within retail hardware chain stores. Collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager, representative agencies, and two-step distributors is integral to nurturing regional accounts.


Sales Account Manager Pay: The salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 per year, with additional considerations based on location, qualifications, and experience. In addition, there is opportunity at a $7500 - $10,000 bonus, $6000 annual car allowance, gas reimbursement at the IRS rate. Sales Account Manager Working Location/Territory –  Based in Los Angeles, or greater LA. Territory will cover LA to Central California.


Sales Account Manager Work Schedule:  Monday through Fridays, some weekends. Travel Required, 35% overnight travel.


Sales Account Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to determine optimal visit frequency for each store, prioritizing based on sales potential.
  • Visit assigned stores to bolster sales through trust-building, superior merchandising, seeking additional product placements, and executing promotions.
  • Act as a Technical Expert, devising and implementing consistent Product Knowledge plans for store associates and contractor-focused sales teams.
  • Drive customer engagement through store-level events, product demonstrations, and participation in grand opening events.
  • Deploy merchandising and demo materials to facilitate strategic product sell-out and aid customers in their purchasing decisions.
  • Negotiate and implement in-store promotions in collaboration with assigned retail chains.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers across all levels of responsibility.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with representative agencies and two-step distributors to grow regional accounts.
  • Liaise with the Company's customer service team to ensure prompt and professional customer support.
  • Coordinate and participate in account meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Work with Marketing to enhance selling and merchandising tools.
  • Provide feedback on competitor activities and contribute to product development.

Sales Account Manager Desired Attributes:

Requirements

 Sales Account Manager Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  •  Must have prior Business to Business sales experience.
  • Knowledge of hardware, home improvement, retail, or consumer products industries.
  • Personal interest in DIY/Home Improvement a plus.
  • Proficiency in basic office computer software.
