Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director, Nurse Recruiter will primarily recruit qualified APPs (Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistants) and will develop strategic and comprehensive nurse recruitment plans in accordance with the needs and goals of the company. The Nurse Recruiter is accountable to communicate and implement corporate strategic initiatives to meet the program goals and objectives.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for candidate lead generation, pre-screening and appropriate follow-up for APP candidates in designated specialties.
  • In coordination with the recruitment team, develops effective recruitment strategies/campaigns for recruitment of APPs in training and in practice in designated specialties including direct mail, advertising, programs, and state/national nurse organization and specialty meetings.
  • Maintains open and responsive communication between Recruitment Department, Operations Team, and candidates.
  • Developing recruiting contacts with APP Preceptor programs, etc.
  • Work on behalf of the Operations and Human Resources team to maintain relationships with affiliated nurse organizations and maintain communication with candidates on recruitment matters and incumbent APPs on situations that may affect the business.

Qualifications you will need:

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills 
  • Keen attention to detail for screening applications and references 
  • Adherence to laws and regulations related to hiring and employment 
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, nursing, or equivalent required 
  • Five to seven years of experience as a recruiter preferred
  • Must be familiar with nurse recruitment concepts, practices and procedures
  • Locum tenens recruitment experience highly preferred

Base Salary/ Wage Range $40,000 to $50,000 plus commission. Compensation for the role is commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
