Summer Case Manager

Position Summary:

WCAC’s Job & Education Center (JEC) offers alternative individualized education pathways for young people outside traditional school environment, with the intention of instilling the values of lifelong learners and providing career pathway exploration, connections to post-secondary and certificate training programs leading to employment opportunities. We are recruiting for a seasonal Case Manager to work this summer in our YouthWorks Summer Jobs Program, connecting young people with summer employment opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a case load of participants and worksites, to ensure a positive work experience.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or HiSet equivalent required. 
  • 1-2 years of experience working in an office environment. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn software and databases used by WCAC.
  • Familiarity with Worcester and knowledge of community resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. 
  • Positive, friendly, and resourceful demeanor required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. 
  • Embraces and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Ability to speak Spanish or other languages, a plus.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to successfully complete a CORI/SORI review.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. This position requires travel throughout the community to different worksites.

Salary Description
Starting at $18.50/hr
