Production Manager - Apparel

Position Overview 

Reporting to the VP, Supply Chain, this position will manage Production Cycle form design initiation to in-house finished product delivery maintain close alignment with Product Development, Design, Merchandising, Technical team, Sourcing, Quality Control, Demand and Supply Planning teams. 

Key Accountabilities: 

· Manage day-to-day Production communication with manufacturing partners.

· Establish and mange Product Development Time-n-Action Calander and Production WIP.

· Production Status Report monitoring, management, and compiling all details into a report to be sent to the Supply Planning Team and input any date changes into ERP System.

· SMS and PSS sample management, tracking timing with vendors, updating Sample Tracker, and advising all team members of any changes.

· Work with Supply Planning team on proposed units and advising vendors of proposals.

· Hosting weekly meetings and taking notes with Production Team to review outstanding items including production issues, reviewing Seasonal Line Plan, etc.

· Hosting a bi-weekly meeting with the Supply Planning team to provide insight into potential production issues that would impact current and future supply.

· Updating and maintaining ERP system including Style/Item creation, costing, allocation, PO XFD timing, and updating Style/Item status.

· Receiving and reviewing Fabric and Garment Test Reports and FIS to be uploaded into PLM system.

· Review lab dips and bulk lots for approval if necessary

· Review Product Quality issues as needed from Warehouse and Customer Service requests using Zoho Desk and communicate the shortfalls to manufacturing partners. 

· Initiate Wear Testing by sending emails/samples to wear testers, providing SurveyMonkey for responses. 

· Review commercial invoices from vendors compared to ERP system to be processed by accounting team.

· Production Management task as assigned.



· Bachelor’s Degree Analytics, Business Administration, Purchasing and Procurement and/or equivalent experience. 

· 4-5 years of experience in apparel production management, preferably within promotional products, product management, buying and/or equivalent experience required. 

· Strong analytical skills. 

· A supportive team player with the ability to influence cross-functionally. 

· A personable and energetic communicator, eager to collaborate and build relationships.  

· Passionate about the role and helping solve complex questions. 

· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Illustrator. 

· Travel domestically and internationally to visit and work with suppliers.
