Description

The Director of Nursing Operations will lead and direct areas of responsibility both operationally and strategically. Responsible for ensuring that nursing policies, procedures and standards describe and guide the provision or nursing care required by all patients and patient populations served by the hospital. Design, development and implementation of systems and processes which directly improve the value of services provided, and improve overall organizational performance.  

Requirements

Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing required with management background and strong analytical, group facilitator and conflict resolution background experience. Knowledge and experience in information privacy laws, access, release of information and release control technologies. Knowledge in and the ability to apply the principles of project management and change management. Minimum five (5) years clinical experience with 5 years of previous nursing leadership experience required. Effective public speaking skills and an ability to communicate in both verbal and written form with a broad cross section of governance management and support personnel throughout the system. Able to articulate complex regulatory information in understandable layman’s terms. Ability to accomplish results through people in a team leader or facilitator role. Effective interpersonal skills to interface with medical staff. Good organizational planning skills as well as ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Licensure/ Certification: Current KS RN Licensure.
