Description

Vistra is searching for a Special Security Officer Specialist Level II to support the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) Joint Operations Center (JOC) and Special Programs. The primary objective is to ensure operational readiness and enhance mission effectiveness through the optimization of existing mission critical systems. Working within a dynamic environment focused on Global Cyberspace Operations missions, you will be part of a team for providing professional services aimed at enabling situational awareness, collaboration, coordination, and Command and Control (C2) capabilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

As a Security Officer Specialist 2, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and integrity of personnel, assets, and information. Working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for implementing security measures, enforcing policies and procedures, and responding to security incidents as part of our comprehensive security program.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute security operations to safeguard personnel, facilities, and assets, including access control, perimeter security, and surveillance monitoring.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, ensuring a secure and controlled environment.
  • Monitor security systems and conduct regular patrols to detect and prevent security threats, unauthorized access, and suspicious activities.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or breaches, initiating appropriate actions to mitigate risks, minimize impact, and escalate, as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and documenting findings in comprehensive incident reports.
  • Provide security awareness training and guidance to personnel on security protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices for maintaining a secure work environment.
  • Participate in emergency response drills and exercises, assisting in the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and law enforcement agencies to share intelligence, coordinate security efforts, and address security-related concerns.
  • Maintain and operate security equipment and technology, such as access control systems, CCTV cameras, and intrusion detection systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities, assess threats, and recommend risk mitigation strategies to enhance the overall security posture.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Security Clearance: TS/SCI/CI Poly


Education:High School Diploma or equivalent. 


Experience: 

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience to include: 
  1. Working knowledge of security oversight publications, instructions, and guides. 
  2. Developing draft security policies and contributing to the implementation of security policies. 
  3. Working with senior military and civilian leaders. 
  4. Making and implementing recommendations to ensure security compliance with policy and security guidance documents.
