HRCU is seeking an experienced training and development professional to join our team.
To be successful, the person in this position must have excellent presentation and facilitation skills to step into a role working closely with all levels of the team. We're looking for a bright and energetic individual who will help execute our vision of "facilitating financial success and financial wellness" with every member, every time.
The specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting a wide range of projects involving performance analysis, instructional design, development, facilitation, and program/LMS administration. The specialist assists with overall organizational and individual employee performance, consistent with the credit union's organizational priorities.
The specialist will recommend and deliver a variety of training activities including ILT, video / eLearning, job aids, mentoring, and tutorials for staff and members.
The focus of this position is to provide training and development that builds a high performing workforce to support the mission and vision of HRCU. Also to enhances member service experience by linking the Service Standards and Service Promises to training sessions. Looks for ways to increase knowledge of credit union functions in order to provide exceptional member service.
Minimum of Associate Degree in business, communication and/or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of three years of similar or related experience, preferably as an trainer/educator in a financial services company. Experience in a member/customer service position in a financial services company. Demonstrated teaching ability, particularly with adult learners is required. Ability to train remotely with experience is important.
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively with all credit union departments to motivate, influence, and train others.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to create and deliver presentations, train employees, develop learning materials, and communicate effectively with all levels of staff. Must be able to clearly present moderately complex information as well as conduct a variety of system transactions. Must be self-directed, proactive, and able to effectively manage projects and expectations.
Must be able to learn quickly and develop a thorough knowledge of HRCU products, services, regulations, software and systems and existing training materials and programs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows OS, and web browsers is required. Experience with TechSmith SnagIt and Camtasia (or similar) is desired.
Must be able to operate related computer software, business presentation equipment, and other related training aids.
Applicants selected for an interview will be required to conduct a 10 minute training presentation.
The location of this position is at our main office with occasional travel to our other branches.
