Core Responsibilities
• Oversee organizational contract development and management activities.
• Enforce organizational principles of integrity and compliance.
• Ensure that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained.
• Support multiple aspects of the proposal process; pricing, price to win strategies, contracts, subcontracts, assumptions, terms and agreements, etc.
• Develop standards for contracts, including presentation of budget, payment terms, general language, and provisions.
• Conduct contract strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements, facilitate pricing discussions, and obtain senior management input on timelines and deliverables.
• Draft contractual provisions based on strategy discussions, senior management input, and organizational needs and expectations.
• Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments.
• Interface with external and internal customers.
• Serve as primary organizational contact during contract negotiations.
• Leads and conducts TAs and NDAs, contract negotiation, and administration of major contracts.
• Monitor performance for conformance against all past, current, and future contracts.
• Serve as advisor regarding contractual requirements, risk mitigation, customer specifications and government regulations.
• Manage and administer company contracts including preparing pricing and contract.
• Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretation of terms and conditions.
• Detect issues related to contract administration and proposals and recommend solutions.
• May assist in the development and maintenance of contract database.
• Serve in a variety of ad hoc roles to include, but not limited to proposal writing, pricing, editing, and reviewing.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, contract management, legal studies, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of contract management experience is required.
• Experience interfacing with technical teams.
• Thorough knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Understanding of the business case and an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications.
This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / High Risk clearance.
